3. Celebrating a decade of sport science internships with Everton Football Club

   As many as 60 graduates from the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences have secured roles at professional football clubs in England and overseas over the past decade thanks to an internship scheme with Everton Football Club.

   LJMU Outreach has welcomed 25 young people from 12 schools across the North West to its annual Year 10 residential, targeted specifically at those in local authority or residential care.

6. ICC Head of Research invited to join AHRC Peer Review College 2020-23

   Following a competitive nomination process, LJMU's Kerry Wilson has been invited by the Arts and Humanities Research Council to join its academic Peer Review College.

7. Transgender Day / Remembrance Vigil Liverpool 

   Today is Transgender Day or Remembrance (20th November 2019) - A vigil will be held in Exchange Station 6.00pm onwards

8. Art and Science Exchange

   On Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th August 2019, the MA Art in Science programme at Liverpool School of Art and Design hosted an Art & Science Exchange workshop with members of the Biochemical Society. The exchange was held at the John Lennon Art and Design Building, in the Public Exhibition Space and X-Gallery amongst the MA Art in Science student's end of programme postgraduate exhibition, which showcases the outcomes of their three month research projects. These projects served as a basis for investigation of specific art-science interactions, and were supported by open discussions, hands on activities and a Liverpool LASER talk.

9. Visit to House of Lords to discuss how to support disabled graduates

   Keren Coney, Careers Adviser in Student Advancement: LJMU's Careers, Employability and Enterprise Service, was thrilled to go to the House of Lords to meet with Lord Shinkwin to discuss how to support disabled graduates as they seek to enter the workplace.

10. Costis to advise Public Health England on COVID impacts

    Costis Maganaris, of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences, has been appointed a COVID-19 advisor to Public Health England.
