   New research suggests domestic abuse victims are better served by schemes which prioritise safeguarding over prosecution.

4. Mind the GaP!

   Time is rapidly running out for Principal Investigators to be trained on the new Grants and Projects (GaP) system. It has been agreed by the University that any bids for external funding (research and enterprise activity) from April 2020 will need to be set up by the Principal Investigator on the GaP system, so its important that you book onto training ASAP.

10. New EDI Workshops Announced – Domestic Abuse Awareness & ‘Actions Speak Louder’ Allyship Training 

    LJMU's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team are proud to be working in partnership with a number of subject specialists, to deliver a range of interactive (online) staff development training opportunities, including the introduction of two brand new courses; a 2 hour Domestic Abuse Awareness Workshop and a 90min 'Actions Speak Louder' Experiential Allyship (Race) training session, as well as the return of LJMU's 3 hour Transgender Awareness Workshop (back by popular demand).
