   We are delighted to announce our two new Corporate Charities - Claire House Children's Hospice and The Girls Network.

   Eight LJMU students took part in an Archon Fittest Universities Event in Birmingham earlier this month, with student Jordan McCarthy placing first across the leaderboard in the STRONG category.

   Our Student Advice and Wellbeing team is giving their advice on staying safe and where to go for help or support if you need it.

4. Updated Assessment and Feedback Policy

   The policy has been updated with two new areas of activity on internal moderation and the use of generative AI (GenAI) in assessment.

5. New research opportunities with GROWTH for the Astrophysics Research Institute

   The Astrophysics Research Institute (ARI) has been named as an official partner in the GROWTH scientific collaboration.

6. Alumna wins Golden Globe

   Claire Foy, star of the £100m Netflix series, The Crown, and graduate of LJMU, has won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV series.

7. School pupils capture their future in creative designs

   As part of their tenth year in the John Lennon Building celebrations, the Liverpool School of Art and Design posed this question to pupils at St Nicholas Catholic Primary School, providing a chance for artistic designs to flourish and future aspirations to be discussed.

8. New mental wellbeing peer support

   We have a new team in place to help support any member of staff with their mental wellbeing. The LJMU Connectors are on hand to provide peer support and make sure colleagues have access to the appropriate resources and services.

9. City ambassadors at LJMU gain recognition for £775k economic impact of academic conferences

   Four academics have been recognised by Club Liverpool for their roles in bringing education and research conferences to the city in 2023.
