4. Mersey Youth Rowing's First Training Workshop with LJMU's Performance Sports Department

   The Performance Sports Department hosted Mersey Youth Rowing's inaugural training workshop. The program, developed by Warrington Rowing Club, promotes diversity in rowing and imparts vital life skills. Coached by experts including Dr. Tim Donovan and Professor Graeme Close, the workshop equips youth rowers with essential knowledge for their competitive journey.

5. LJMU to benefit from £1million ’Big Data’ training centre

   LLJMU and the University of Liverpool and have been awarded £1m for a new Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in data intensive science.

6. Astronomers and space scientists from across Europe to link up in Liverpool

8. Family judge for Cheshire and Merseyside hosts first LAC public debate event

   Her Honour Judge Margaret de Haas QC hosted the first public debate held by LJMU’s Legal Advice Centre, which focused on the legal rights of grandparents.

9. Zia Chaudhry MBE is to join Liverpool John Moores University as the Director of the LJMU Foundation for Citizenship

   As Director of the LJMU Foundation for Citizenship, Zia will lead the University’s social engagement activity, building on LJMU’s long history of community engagement and impact, ensuring that the University maintains strong and innovative partnerships with other community organisations.
