1. Student finance reminder

   If you are an undergraduate student and are continuing on your course in September 2019, don’t forget to reapply for your student finance as soon as possible.

   Go-getting school girls hope to springboard into top science careers by undertaking their own research with Liverpool John Moores University.

7. Astrophysics Research Institute PhD student receives only UK award from NASA

   LJMU has the highest number of Hubble Fellowships in the UK, as one of their latest awards goes to an Astrophysics Research Institute student straight out of her PhD. Dr Emma Beasor was also the only UK student awarded a Fellowship this year.

8. LightNight 2019 – Rituals – A free one-night arts festival

   Celebrating it's 10th anniversary LightNight returns on Friday 17 May 2019, unlocking the doors of Liverpool’s best-loved and lesser-known arts, culture and heritage venues late into the night.

9. City remembers disability rights hero and LJMU Honorary Fellow

   Sir Bert was a leading disability rights activist and was awarded his Honorary Fellowship at LJMU in 2002 for services to equality and promoting the rights of disabled people. He also served as a Governor of the university for nine years.

10. Thousands of LJMU graduates celebrated at March ceremonies

    More than 2,400 students officially graduated this week across eight stunning ceremonies at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral, the first graduations of LJMU’s Bicentenary year.
