1. What the pandemic taught me - LJMU Together

   This feature encourages colleagues to share what they've learned as we all reflect on the pandemic and what we've been through.

2. Applications open for Research England Policy Support Fund

   LJMU is being allocated funding from the Research England Policy Support Fund (PSF) to support the development of impactful research and engagement activities. Applications of up to £10,000 will be considered and applicants have until 5pm on Monday 10 October 2022 to make a submission.

3. Staff networks explored, explained and celebrated

   Staff recently came together to celebrate the power of staff networks in the workplace and to mark the launch of the Admin and PA Staff Network.

4. Privacy and security survey

   To better understand how much we all know about data protection matters, a short staff survey has been put together.

5. Health and safety code of practice updates

   Two of our health and safety codes of practice and have updated and can be accessed on the Policy Centre.

6. Teaching staff urged to sign-up for My Pensions Online

   The start of the academic year can be a good time to review your pension arrangements. All academic teaching staff are reminded that they can sign-up to an online portal if they are members of the Teachers Pension Scheme.

7. Enhancing the student experience through improved assessment and feedback guidance

   A project group has updated our Assessment and Feedback Policy as well as launched a new mini site of guidance for staff to utilise.

8. National Eye Health Week 18 - 24 September

   We are promoting the importance of good eye health, sharing important eye care advice to encourage adopting healthy habits and highlighting the need for regular eye tests.

   Paul Carreon, who is currently researching Huntingtons Disease at LJMU, explains how ecstatic he was to be awarded a PhD scholarship and how you can apply for one too.

10. Annual survey and audit of teaching space to take place this February

    The survey will be conducted between the hours of 9am and 5pm from Monday 5 to Friday 9 February 2024.
