5. SDG 6 - Clean water and sanitation

   At LJMU, we’re making efforts to address our water usage by installing efficient water dispensers, harvesting rainwater and using low-flush toilets in our buildings across campuses. Locally, we are promoting sustainable energy on Hilbre Island and internationally we are proud to champion the voices of islanders in the Philippines through documentaries shared at the United Nations World Ocean’s Day.

   The Research Centre for Brain and Behaviour is involved in research in all areas of brain and behavioural sciences, applied psychology, cognitive psychology, sports psychology, affective neuroscience, psychopharmacy, animal behaviour, health psychology and mindfulness. 7. Social behaviour, ecology and conservation

   Our interest lies in the evolution of animal societies and the interactions that occur within these societies and their link to emotion, cognition and communication. We primarily study primates (including humans) but also other species including birds.
