1. Northern Ireland Applicant Day

   On Saturday 2nd March, LJMU held its annual Northern Ireland Applicant Day in the Hilton Hotel Belfast.

   Research and Innovation Services (RIS) will be holding an informal networking breakfast event, Coffee and Croissant, at Byrom Street, MTC Social Zone on Thursday 4th April from 8.15am – 9.30am.

   North West Cross Institutional Action Learning in partnership with the University of Liverpool and Chester University. A development opportunity for 13 LJMU women working in academic and professional services roles to develop leadership capability and overcome career related challenges

4. Student finance reminder

   If you are an undergraduate student and are continuing on your course in September 2019, don’t forget to reapply for your student finance as soon as possible.

5. Health advice - mumps

   We are aware of a couple of LJMU students being diagnosed with mumps in the last few days.

6. Research shows holidays offered by The Royal British Legion significantly improve well-being

   LJMU researchers have carried out a major national study on behalf of The Royal British Legion which shows the breaks and holidays they offer military veterans and their families hugely improves their mental health and well-being.

7. New Researcher Development Opportunities:Dates Worth Saving

   New, exciting researcher development opportunities will be on offer over the coming months. Available only for limited numbers of researchers, it’s worth ‘saving the dates’.

8. Grad Fest 2019 – event for final year students on 3 April

   Grad Fest 2019 is a new event for final year students at LJMU, taking place on 3 April from 2pm-7pm at the John Lennon Art and Design Building.

   Four talented LJMU Journalism students are about to embark on a fantastic opportunity - working alongside some of the biggest names in broadcasting at the BBC 6 Music festival.
