   Following a fortnight-long election period, Caroline received the majority of votes out of the eight self-nominated candidates and will now serve on the Board for the next three years.

4. European Grant to help our understanding of how galaxies form

   Professor Nate Bastian, Head of Research at the Astrophysics Research Institute and Royal Society University Research Fellow, has been awarded a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator grant.

7. Supporting reconciliation in Cyprus through the recovery of war missing

   Families in Cyprus have been able to finally lay their relatives to rest thanks to a humanitarian project involving anthropologists from LJMU who have recovered and identified remains from multiple war graves.

8. Transgender Awareness Workshop 

   LJMU's Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team are proud to be working in partnership with Subject Matter Expert; GenderSpace and are pleased to offer LJMU/JMSU Staff the opportunity to participate in a virtual, half day (three hour) Transgender Awareness Workshop.

9. Students celebrate Grand National

   LJMU students and alumni joined forces with Crabbie's Grand National to showcase elements of the three-day world-renowned racing Festival at the Museum of Liverpool.

10. Challenging Racism Collaborative Campaign (FREE Webinar Series)

    Liverpool John Moores University, University of Kent and City, University of London are collaborating in order to launch a series of cross-sector live webinars on race, racism and the importance of inclusive allyships.
