1. Prestigious Screen School appointments

   Two Liverpool Screen School academics, Dr Rex Li and Andrew McMillan have been appointed to the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Peer Review College.

4. Staff Car Parking Update

   Following a recent review of LJMU staff car parking provision, the university will continue to subsidise staff car parking until 31 August 2023.

5. School of Biological & Environmental Sciences accredited with Athena SWAN Bronze Award

   Biological and Environmental Sciences has become the fifth LJMU school to have received the Athena SWAN Bronze Award.

6. New era of gravitational wave astronomy

   Astrophysics Research Institute works with European Southern Observatory to observe first light from gravitational wave source.

7. Paramedic students take on The Paramedic Games 2023

   Paramedic Science students from across LJMU have taken part in a two-day event which saw students, from first, second and third year, compete in eight high fidelity scenarios around the John Foster Building.

8. Paid internship opportunities for L5 and 6 students

   Student Futures, LJMUs Careers, Employability and Enterprise team, have a range of exciting, paid internship opportunities available for L5 and 6 (second and third year) students working on a real-life project for a local business/SME.

9. PCC praises LJMU for raising awareness of domestic abuse support

   LJMU are signed up to the Domestic Abuse Workplace Scheme, led by the Police and Crime Commissioner's office, and more workplace champions are being sought.

10. Fab Lab Liverpool creates board games to support LJMU research

    Fab Lab were commissioned by LJMU’s Research and Innovation Services to support two different projects, one to help students develop their research proposals and one that shines a light on the probation service.
