1. Wildlife conservation graduate inspires next generation of students

   LJMU graduate, Trang Nguyen, wildlife conservation scientist, environmental activist and founder of the NGO WildAct, in Vietnam, returned to Liverpool and LJMU campus this week to share her knowledge as a leader in the field of wildlife conservation.

   LJMU will celebrate the inspirational achievements of 16 new honorary fellows in a special ceremony later this year.

6. Megalith tombs were family graves in European Stone Age

   In a new study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA, an international research team, led by Uppsala University with co-author Linus Girdland-Flink of LJMU, discovered kin relationships among Stone Age individuals buried in megalithic tombs on Ireland and in Sweden.

8. Ten students spend life changing summer in Nepal

   The ten students and now LJMU graduates, visited Nepal for a month-long Turing funded trip, working on the Dignity Without Danger (DWD) research project.

9. Applications for Discovery Internships for level 5 and 6 students now open

   The final round of paid Discovery Internships for this academic year, which are all sustainability themed, are open for applications now from second and final year (level 5 and 6) students.
