2. Launch of Women’s Professional Services Staff Network 

   LJMUs newest staff network has launched this February with over 70 attendees from across Professional Services attending the event online.

7. Graphics alumna commissioned for high profile arts campaign

   Graphic Design and Illustration alumna, Lauren McLardy has been commissioned to create a new piece of work for Coventry City Council to mark World Mental Health Day 2020.

8. Care experienced girls and young women still at risk of unnecessary criminalisation

   Girls and women who have been through the care system should be diverted away from custodial sentences into community alternatives wherever possible, says a new report published today (Weds 4 May 2022). And the study adds that moves to prevent the criminalisation of girls in care need to be high on the agenda for change.

9. Let’s Talk About Disability Workshop (Virtual) - Tips For Supporting Staff/Students With Disabilities & Long-Term Health Conditions Including Mental Health

   This is an opportunity for LJMU/JMSU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors (those directly responsible for staff/students) to participate in a half day (three hour) virtual, Lets Talk About Disability Workshop in order to gain tips for supporting staff/students with disabilities & long-term health conditions including mental health.

10. Speeding offences fall, says LJMU School of Law

    An analysis of motoring offences conducted by Liverpool John Moores University and the RAC Foundation has shown a 12% decrease in speeding offences in Merseyside.
