4. Vice Chancellor hosts former Education Secretary at LJMU

   Justine Greening, former Secretary of State for Education visited Mark Power, Vice Chancellor (interim), this week to discuss LJMUs successful track record prioritising social mobility and inclusion.

5. Honorary Fellow: Ian Meadows

   Ian Meadows received an Honorary Fellowship from LJMU on Friday 28 November 2014 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to business and the civic life of the city.

6. LJMU strengthens its commitment to the Armed Forces community

   A cross-university Steering Group has been created and an Armed Forces Champion appointed, to support students, staff and the wider community who have a connection to the Armed Forces.

7. Scholarships for new students starting September 2024

   Every year we award a range of scholarships from £1,000 to £5,000 that don't need to be paid back!

8. 'Africa is rising' says Roscoe Lecturer

   International visionary PJ Cole, last night delivered the 141st Roscoe Lecture using his platform to set out the role the African continent will play in driving global prosperity, as well as reflect on his life and work in Sierra Leone.
