1. Audit and Risk Policy update

   The Engagement of External Auditors for Non-Audit Work Policy has been revised.

2. Apprenticeships and Student Governance policy updates

   The new Apprenticeships Policy has received Academic Board approval and 20 Student Governance policies, guidance and pro forma have recently been reviewed, and have received minor amendments.

3. Academic Registry Roadshows

   Informal one-hour breakfast sessions open to all academic staff who want to learn more about the support available to them from Academic Registry.

4. Deadline for home computing loan scheme

   Our current Home Computing Loan scheme for staff will come to a close in December, ahead of the launch of a brand new scheme in the new year.

5. Complete the privacy and security survey by 12 December

   To better understand how much we all know about data protection matters, a short staff survey has been put together.

6. Academic Registry online training sessions

   There are lots of academic staff training opportunities still available throughout the remainder of semester one.

7. Cutting edge performance analysis technology on the curriculum for sport science students

   A new education partnership with Catapult Sports is ensuring that students have the skills and experience needed to excel as professional coaches and sports scientists.

8. Responsibilities during a fire alarm activation

   When a fire alarm sounds, everyone has a part to play in the safe evacuation of people from a building.

9. New date for staff event raising awareness of domestic abuse support

   Staff are invited to an event on Wednesday 14 December from 10am to 11am at Exchange Station (Room 1 & 2), where they can find out more about how we're supporting those impacted by domestic abuse.

10. Staff Qualifications and Health and Safety policy updates

    A number of LJMU staff policies have been updated.
