1. Harnessing the power of staff networks

   Save the date for the launch of our latest group, the PA and Admin Staff Network, on Thursday 8 February, featuring a guest talk from staff networks expert Cherron Inko-Tariah.

2. Making Every Contact Count training January

   Staff are invited to take part in a Making Every Contact Count training day on Monday 15 January.

3. Making Every Contact Count staff training: September to December

   Book onto the mental health and wellbeing training now.

4. Mind the GaP!

   Time is rapidly running out for Principal Investigators to be trained on the new Grants and Projects (GaP) system. It has been agreed by the University that any bids for external funding (research and enterprise activity) from April 2020 will need to be set up by the Principal Investigator on the GaP system, so its important that you book onto training ASAP.

5. Turning CSI to curb the illegal trade of wildlife

   Professor Stefano Mariani of Liverpool John Moores University leads study of forensic tools to identify illegal trade in marine species

6. Making Every Contact Count training day

   This mental health training will take place on Tuesday 10 October, 9.30am to 3pm, Exchange Station G20 and 21.

7. Presenting the past to the public

   Research at LJMU is working on ways of presenting the past and creating content for historic sites and museums across Ireland and the rest of the globe.

8. New Export Controls and Sanctions Policy

   A new Export Controls and Sanctions Policy, in relation to research and knowledge exchange activity, has been approved and added to the LJMU Policy Centre.

9. Staff Qualifications and Health and Safety policy updates

   A number of LJMU staff policies have been updated.

10. Dental plan for LJMU staff

    The scheme provided by Unum Dental is an insurance policy available to LJMU staff, apply by 31 Jan 2024.
