1. LJMU Head of Journalism joins UK Government’s Media Literacy Taskforce

   Fran Yeoman, Head of Journalism in the Faculty of Arts, Professional and Social Studies, has been appointed to the UK Governments Media Literacy Taskforce Steering Board.

   There are similar concentrations of microplastic pollution on the seabed in Antarctica as in the North Atlantic and Mediterranean, scientists have found.

3. Lecturer’s new book examines security at sports mega-events amid the pandemic

   International Relations and Politics with Sociology Lecturer, Dr Jan Ludvigsen, shared insights from his book this week with the LJMU community ahead of its release on Friday 8 April.

5. Staff Car Parking Update

   Following a recent review of LJMU staff car parking provision, the university will continue to subsidise staff car parking until 31 August 2023.

6. Updating Your Microsoft Profile Picture

   From Monday 12th September, ITS will begin publishing all staff and student security card photos into Microsoft's 365 suite of products.

7. Give out Wellbeing Journals to all your students in your Personal Tutor meetings

   Copies of the new 2022-23 Wellbeing Journal are now available for all students, and academic staff are being encouraged to hand them out at their first personal tutor meetings with students.

9. GaP Training - Additonal Dates Available

   Additional training dates have now been made available as GaP (Grants and Projects) training has proved to be very popular.

10. DaDaFest: The artistic flair to effect social change

    The HR team at Liverpool Business School are Project Evaluators for DaDaFest. Our role as project evaluators is to conduct a systematic assessment of the ongoing work at DaDaFest over three years. This role is a critical part of DaDaFest Paul Hamlyn award.
