1. Catering store within iBuy down 14 to 18 August

   The catering store within iBuy will be down from 14 to 18 August. Any catering requests for during this period and up to the 22 August should be booked in advance.

2. Getting it Right: Name pronunciation

   As part of our LJMU Equality’s ‘Getting it Right’ campaign, the team is highlighting the importance of pronouncing the names of different students and staff right.

4. Owen Copland: "A remarkable young man"

   Staff and students joined a flood of tributes to Owen Copland who died on Christmas Day after a long battle with a brain tumour.

5. Apply for a paid discovery internship

   LJMU is offering second and final year students (level 5 and 6) the opportunity to apply for a paid 'Discovery Internship' working with a local organisation in the Liverpool City Region on a real-life project that you can really get stuck into.

6. LJMU launches Sponsorship Programme for Ethnically Diverse Staff

   The Diverse Futures: LJMU Sponsorship Programme is designed to pair ethnically diverse staff with senior leaders and managers.

7. LJMU Marks National Inclusion Week (2020)

   National Inclusion Week runs from the 28th Sep - 4th Oct 2020 and gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to inclusion in and outside of the LJMU community.

8. 'Ask for Martin'

   LJMU and JMSU work hard to support all students who have been victims of harassment and/or assault.  However, the recent reports of increased spiking in clubs and bars in Liverpool and other cities around the UK are extremely concerning and we want to reassure all students that support is available to anyone affected by this issue. 

9. Win Love to Shop vouchers in our COVID student survey

   To help reduce the spread of Covid, Public Health at Liverpool City Council are conducting a survey of LJMU students.

10. LJMU marks Armistice Day 2022

    Staff and students observed a two-minute silence across campus to mark Armistice Day.
