1. Updated Research Degrees Framework 2024/25

   Updates have been made to various regulations and policies that underpin the university’s Research Degrees Framework.

   Each of these resources is a standalone academic skills class accompanied by a full lesson plan with teaching notes.

4. Celebrating our degree apprentices

   As part of National Apprenticeship Week, LJMU is celebrating the achievements and impact of its healthcare apprentices.

5. Chair and Panel Member Briefing Sessions

   Three in-person sessions are being offered in Exchange Station for academic colleagues who wish to become a Validation/Periodic Programme Review chair or panel member.

6. Media students' climb to the top

   Three Liverpool Screen School students have won £2,000 in a competition run by leading motoring magazine, Influx Magazine.

7. Mark Power welcomes Professor Ian Campbell to LJMU

   Professor Ian Campbell took up his role as our new Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive on 14 October.

8. Usernames and passwords

   Many external (non-LJMU) websites have been hacked recently, resulting in millions of usernames and passwords being leaked and passed on to criminals.

9. New Reading List Management System Launched.

   In January 2015 Library Services piloted the use of a reading list management system, Rebus:List with 27 academics across the University with a soft launch that Summer.

10. Sexual Violence Awareness Week

    Throughout Sexual Violence Awareness Week (Monday 4th – Sunday 10th February), a new team of staff from Student Advice and Wellbeing Services were out and about across the University to talk to students and staff about the impact sexual violence and harassment has on individuals and communities
