Since 1997, the University has hosted over 120 lectures encompassing a variety of themes, subjects and viewpoints that make the Roscoe Lectures a symbol of plurality and respect for difference. Find out more about previous and upcoming lectures. The lectures are available to listen to online.
Find out more about the history of John Moores University from its origin as the Mechanics School of Arts, through to being granted university status in 1992, right up to the present day.
Our graduation ceremonies at Liverpool Cathedral (Anglican) are a rich pageant full of colour provided by academic gowns, processional maces, banners, fanfares and ceremonial music.
