2. Getting to grips with technology in media

   Pupils from Sacred Heart College, Crosby joined the Media Technology Group of the Dept. of Electronics & Electrical Engineering to learn technical processes for creating TV programmes.

3. Children’s Laureate delivers Roscoe Lecture

   The Roscoe Lecture, named ‘What do you think about when you think of nothing?’ entails the strange concept that meditating and clearing the mind often throws up a lot of questions- which is exactly what you are not meant to be doing

   To streamline our process for recruitment and selection of staff, we are now using the Hireserve hiring manager portal.

5. Professor Alison Ewing is announced as winner of the UKCPA Lifetime Achievement Award 2018

   The UK Clinical Pharmacy Association (UKCPA) recently presented their prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for 2018 to Professor Alison Ewing.

6. Salters Festival of Chemistry 2016

   Over 60 school pupils from across the North West, including Merseyside, Lancashire, the Isle of Man and Colwyn Bay, went to LJMU to enjoy an exciting day in the labs, as part of the Salters' Festival of Chemistry.

7. Graduates win Royal Television Society award

   Four Media Production graduates have won a prestigious Royal Television Society (RTS) award for their film ‘Gnomes.’

8. Academic Board vacancies

   The Secretariat is now taking expressions of interests from eligible candidates for two vacancies on the Academic Board, a Directorate and a Professoriate member.

9. Screen School student hailed at international film festival

   A Screen School student has won first prize at the 2019 Pesaro Film Festival. Taking place in Pesaro, Italy, the festival recognises the talents of established and emerging filmmakers, and confers awards covering a range of areas, including a category for university students.
