   Pharmacists-to-be are being trained on the world's first fully patient-controlled online health record.

3. Scholarships for people of colour on policing course

   Opportunities for people of colour in specialist policing roles including counter-terrorism are being made available thanks to a partnership involving Liverpool John Moores University.

4. Schoolgirl researchers visit world-class sport science labs

   The year 9 pupils from Liverpool's Holly Lodge Girls College spent two days working alongside world-class scientists in physiology, biomechanics and sport and exercise psychology, as well as current LJMU students, to gain expert insight into sport science research methodology.

5. Art and Science Exchange

   On Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th August 2019, the MA Art in Science programme at Liverpool School of Art and Design hosted an Art & Science Exchange workshop with members of the Biochemical Society. The exchange was held at the John Lennon Art and Design Building, in the Public Exhibition Space and X-Gallery amongst the MA Art in Science student's end of programme postgraduate exhibition, which showcases the outcomes of their three month research projects. These projects served as a basis for investigation of specific art-science interactions, and were supported by open discussions, hands on activities and a Liverpool LASER talk.

6. AI can spot wounded wild animals and poachers in camera trap footage

   AI from Liverpool John Moores University is being used to identify animals, plot their movements and spot wounds in a bid to help conservationists, reports New Scientist.

7. Supporting those facing domestic abuse

   LJMU is backing a campaign to support people facing gender-based violence.

8. Community Engagement: Faculty's open door to research

   Arts, Professional and Social Studies hosts BIG IDEAS event on June 8.

9. Students visit textiles and life conference

   MA Fashion Innovation and Realisation students: Joshua Marriott, Macarena Morilla Dominguez and Courtney Hammond presented research posters based on their MA proposals.
