1. Tithebarn Street roadworks (from 3 June 2019)

   Please be aware that major roadworks will begin on Tithebarn Street on Monday 3 June.

2. LJMU experts to present at national Inspiring Engineering Excellence Conference

   Professor Monower Sadique and Dr Iacopo Carnacina will share insights into their research around the viability and development of sustainable, cement-free concrete.

3. Long service awards

   The university has updated the Long Service Awards scheme to include celebration of reaching additional key milestones at 25, 35, 45 and 50+ years’ service.

4. Get involved with the Great British Beach Clean

   Friday 20 September from 10am to 11.30pm at West Kirby beach.

5. Menopause cafes throughout 2024

   This year we will once again host four menopause cafes for our staff, with the first taking place on Tuesday 16 January, and anyone wishing to attend can book via the staff wellbeing events page.

6. LJMU awards Honorary Fellowships to Royal Court duo and former Dean of Liverpool Cathedral

   Liverpool John Moores University has announced honorary fellowships for its November graduation ceremonies.

7. LJMU and JMSU launch Respect Always

   Today marks the launch of Respect, Always!, a collaboration between LJMU and JMSU which aims to get to the heart of what ‘respect’ means to us all as individuals and to collectively recognise this across the university.

8. Restrictions on using USBs

   From Monday 4 September, students will no longer be able to use USB storage devices on LJMU computers, laptops and other IT equipment.

9. Staff Qualifications and Health and Safety policy updates

   A number of LJMU staff policies have been updated.
