2. 5G technology used in Liverpool

   Margot James, Minister for Digital and Culture, this week visited Europe’s first dedicated 5G health and social care pilot, helping people live independently at home.

4. Thought-provoking Roscoe Lecture

   Journalist and human rights activist, Rebecca Tinsley, delivered a thought-provoking Roscoe Lecture which delved into the human psyche, asking if genocide is part of our nature.

5. Pupils put art at the heart of STEM

   More than 150 primary school children from across the North West came to LJMU to take part in an innovative, hands-on experience, entitled ‘Art at the heart of STEM.’

6. Academic Registry results notification briefings

   Two Microsoft Teams sessions will take place later this month to assist LJMU administrative staff involved with the pre and post board of examiner process, including results notification.

7. Blue tits individually decide: "Should I stay or should I go?"

   A new study reveals that energy resources, shelter and the environment are not the only factors involved in blue tits’ decisions to migrate or remain resident, their individual personalities also play a role.

9. LJMU leads partnership with technology hub to support and innovate region’s businesses

   LJMU received a £2m government grant to help SMEs, and has used the funding to partner with the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) to help transform regional industry through the use of a new Business Launch Centre (MTC@LJMU) based at LJMU’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
