1. Disability History Month at LJMU

   Disability History Month begins today (16 November – 16 December) and our Disabled Staff Network, EDI team and JMSU will be hosting an event on Friday 2 December.

2. Staff Infobase (Oracle E-Business Suite) is being upgraded

   Staff Infobase (Oracle E-Business Suite) is being upgraded over the Easter weekend. The upgraded system will be available by 8am on Tuesday 6th April. The upgrade will move the system to the latest version of the software, ensuring that it remains up-to-date and continues to effectively support the University's business.

3. First look at the new student social spaces

   Take a look at the new student social spaces, the first two spaces - in John Foster and Redmonds Buildings - are now complete.

4. January exams: training for invigilators

   In anticipation of the January examination period, Academic Registry will be holding invigilation training sessions for LJMU staff throughout December.

5. Student Information System Upgrade

   The University’s Student Information System (SIS) is being upgraded. SIS will be unavailable during the upgrade, from 5pm on Thursday 21st November until 8am on Tuesday 26th November.

7. New Open Access Policy

   LJMU has published a new Open Access Publication Policy for its staff.

8. Open Research Week 2024

   Open Research Week 2024 is a collaborative event by LJMU, Edge Hill University, University of Liverpool, and the University of Essex from Monday 26 February to Friday 1 March.

    Join us for an online discovery event, where you will hear about the new MBA from Programme Leader Martin Kerridge; you will be invited to ask questions about how the MBA can help with your career goals, while understanding how the part-time programme can fit into your existing work schedule.
