1. Staff networks explored, explained and celebrated

   Staff recently came together to celebrate the power of staff networks in the workplace and to mark the launch of the Admin and PA Staff Network.

2. Fault reporting processes for the new academic year

   As the new academic year begins and our campus becomes busy once more, staff are reminded to ensure that all faults are reported via the respective Helpdesks.

3. Annual survey and audit of teaching space to take place this October

   The annual survey and audit of teaching space will take place across the university between the hours of 9am and 5pm from Monday 23 to Friday 27 October 2023.

4. In memoriam Dr Alistair Beere

   Dr Alistair Beere passed away at the end of August and his funeral arrangements have been shared by his family.

5. New partnership to promote skin cancer awareness to school pupils

   LJMU's School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences (PBS) has launched a new initiative to engage, educate and enhance local communities.

6. Menopause cafes throughout 2024

   This year we will once again host four menopause cafes for our staff, with the first taking place on Tuesday 16 January, and anyone wishing to attend can book via the staff wellbeing events page.

7. Academic Staff Governor Elections

   Following the call for nominations, eight candidates are standing for election, with the election period opening on Monday 5 June and running until Monday 19 June.

8. LJMU jumps 16 places in Sunday Times Good University Guide

   Liverpool John Moores University has jumped 16 places in the latest Sunday Times Good University Guide.

9. Digital media and content production CPD courses

   Staff looking to reskill, retrain or advance their skills in digital media and content production may be interested in one of our Screen School’s short courses.

10. Academic Staff Governor voting now open

    All Academic staff have until 5pm on Monday 19 June to vote for their preferred Academic Staff Governor candidate.
