  2. Expertise within RISES

    The Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Science areas of expertise are organised into research groups and exchanges which focus on the following: biomechanics, cardiovascular health, exercise metabolism, brain and behaviour, physical activity, sport psychology and football-related research.

    We provide a research training environment with opportunities for students and staff to develop their academic, theoretical, technical and research methods skills.   4. Royal Society Partnership Grants

    Partnership Grants of up to £3000 are available to schools to enable students to carry out science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) projects. The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences runs two of these projects per year.
