   Team LJMU has won three events at the British University and Colleges Sport Tournament earlier this month.

   Liverpool FC Women has appointed sport scientist Dr Fran Champ to its backroom staff as the club strengthens its medical and sports psychology set-up.

   LJMU has created five Associate Dean positions across the faculties and one for Professional Services to support the university in driving forward the EDI agenda.

4. 91 LJMU students jet off to study abroad this month

   Over ninety students will head off to 18 countries this year as part of LJMU's Study Abroad Programme.

5. Disability and neurodiversity equity: next steps at LJMU

   In recognition of Disability History Month (14 November to 20 December) and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December, we’re reflecting on our progress over the past 24 months to support staff and students with a disability/ who are neurodiverse and outlining our next steps to advance disability equity.

6. LJMU supports Hong Kong Community with Progression to HE Opportunities

   LJMU’s Outreach Team has continued their work with the Hong Kong community based in Warrington. The team held an event last week to support the community and share access to Higher Educations options, within the region.

7. Students and staff celebrate Ramaday and join together for Iftar

   Staff and students from across the university, both muslim and non-muslim, came together to break their fast (iftar).

8. Long service staff celebrate milestones

   Long service staff who have worked at the university for over 25 years were celebrated at an event at the Hilton, Liverpool last week.

9. Additional workshops available for leaders and managers

   The Organisational Development teams’ LJMU Leadership Enhancement And Development (LEAD) programme has added another two workshop sessions.

10. LJMU hosts first ever Para Pentathlon training day in the UK

    25 Athletes from across the UK attended the first ever Para Laser Sport training event at LJMU’s Sport Building this week.
