The purpose of the Associate Deans for Diversity and Inclusion is to support the University in driving forward the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda at Faculty and Professional Services level and ensure local issues inform the Diversity and Inclusion overall approach.

Within our School we have three distinct research groups: Media, Culture, Communications, LJMU Writers’ Workshop and Drama and Performance.
LJMU was awarded the Liverpool Bambis Breastfeeding Friendly Mayoral Award in June 2022. The award recognises commitment to supporting staff, students and visitors who are breastfeeding their children to feel welcome to do so across campus buildings.
The University Funded Diversity and Inclusion scheme is a pot of money set aside to provide grants for supporting research initiatives across the University aimed at challenging discrimination and inequalities, increasing representation of under-represented groups, raising awareness of issues related to Diversity and Inclusion, and facilitating implementation of good practice at the University.
