4. Christmas closure and support services over the festive break

   The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

6. City remembers disability rights hero and LJMU Honorary Fellow

   Sir Bert was a leading disability rights activist and was awarded his Honorary Fellowship at LJMU in 2002 for services to equality and promoting the rights of disabled people. He also served as a Governor of the university for nine years.

7. LJMU explores research and collaboration to support veteran wellbeing

   A host of researchers and external partners met at LJMU for the first Armed Forces and Veterans' Community Symposium.

8. Why the menopause matters and workplace support at LJMU

   For the past two years, colleagues across LJMU have been working to better understand and recognise the type of support needed by those experiencing the menopause, and to devise ways to create greater awareness across the organisation.
