1. Professorship, readership

   The Professorship and Readership Conferment process for 2023 is now open.

2. Majority of April and May exams to be held online

   Most exams in April and May 2022 will be held online. There are a small number of examinations which will be held in-person due to specific requirements of the professional body.

3. Strengthening STEM education at primary level across Liverpool

   For the past year, teachers from eight primary schools across the Liverpool City region and South Sefton area have participated in a CPD programme, led by experts at LJMU, to increase confidence and self-efficacy in the teaching of science

4. Making Every Contact Count staff training: September to December

   Book onto the mental health and wellbeing training now.

5. LJMU Religion & Belief Workshops “Understanding religious diversity of our students and staff community”

   LJMUs Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with Zia Chaudhry (Director of LJMU Foundation for Citizenship), Zane Abdo (LJMU Muslim Adviser/Chaplin), Rabbi Natan Fagleman (LJMU Jewish Chaplain), Hannah Padfield (LJMU Anglican Chaplain), Father Neil Ritchie (LJMU Catholic Chapain) and other external consultants in order to offer LJMU Staff (& Students*), the opportunity to participate in a bespoke, half day Religion & Belief workshop.

6. "I expect January Graduation to be more special than ever"

7. Summer and graduate placement opportunities

   A great range of 200-hour part-time (20 hours per week over 10 weeks) and five-month full-time, paid student summer placements are currently available exclusively to LJMU students.

8. Student finance reminder

   If you are an undergraduate student and are continuing on your course in September 2019, don’t forget to reapply for your student finance as soon as possible.

9. Vice-Chancellor appointed Chairman of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic

   LJMU Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, Professor Nigel Weatherill, has been appointed Chairman of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. The announcement of Professor Weatherill’s appointment as Chair for an initial three-year term has been made following approval of the recommendation by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Board of Directors.
