1. Law school run half marathon for Whitechapel Centre

   Eight students and staff from the School of Law laced up their trainers and ran the Liverpool half marathon on Sunday 27 March, in aid of local homeless and housing charity the Whitechapel Centre.

2. Reciprocal Mentoring Programme involving BAME Staff, Black Students and Senior Leaders

   Given the success of last year's pilot, we are running the LJMU Reciprocal Mentoring Programme again and we are extending it to include BAME staff from across the institution. The programme is open to all LJMU Senior Staff from Director Level of non BAME Background and to BAME staff from non-Director Level and to Black Students from all Faculties.

3. Passion for gender equity inspires international partnership to promote Women in Science

   Women scientists at LJMU have won a grant to share our institutional learnings on gender equality with partner institutions in Brazil.

4. Apply to study abroad

   Applications for LJMU’s study abroad programme are now open. Students can apply to spend either one semester or an academic year abroad at one of LJMU’s partner institutions across the globe.

5. International sport coaching students in Malta celebrate graduation

   LJMU academic staff travelled to Malta to recognise and celebrate the achievements of a group of graduating students.

6. Pioneering hackathon inspires leaders to transform organisations

   Hosted by Liverpool Business School, the ‘Organisational Development (OD) Hackathon’ was designed to help organisations transform in challenging times.

7. Liverpool's learning leaders & community partners join LJMU for opening of its city-centre School of Education

   The £30million new-build premises on Maryland Street was officially opened by Vice-Chancellor Professor Mark Power.

8. School of Sport and Exercise Sciences celebrates long standing partnership with Everton

   Staff and students past and present gathered at Goodison Park as Everton's Academy Sport Science department hosted an event to celebrate an internship programme run in partnership with The Football Exchange, part of the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University.

9. LJMU host 59th Annual Associated Schools of Construction International Conference

   Hosted outside of the USA for only the second time in the conference's history, more than 170 delegates gathered in Liverpool for the three-day event.

10. LJMU produced films to be shown at COP26 in Glasgow

    LJMU films of how fast rising sea levels impact island communities will be shown to delegates at Glasgow COP26 next week.
