1. New arrangements for AV support

   We have a new system in place to support you in using audio visual and display technology in our teaching spaces.

2. Laser Run added to Invictus Games 2027 thanks to influence of LJMU

   LJMU has been a trailblazer in the inclusive sport of Para Pentathlon, so much so that the Para Laser element of the event has been added to the Invictus Games.

3. Launch of Men's Staff Network

   The Men’s Staff Network will provide a space for colleagues to celebrate the positive contributions and achievements of men; raise awareness of the issues affecting men and boys and the associated impacts on wider society and offer opportunities for formal and informal networking and mentoring.

4. 'Ask for Martin'

   LJMU and JMSU work hard to support all students who have been victims of harassment and/or assault.  However, the recent reports of increased spiking in clubs and bars in Liverpool and other cities around the UK are extremely concerning and we want to reassure all students that support is available to anyone affected by this issue.

6. LJMU strengthens its commitment to the Armed Forces community

   A cross-university Steering Group has been created and an Armed Forces Champion appointed, to support students, staff and the wider community who have a connection to the Armed Forces.

7. LJMU marks Remembrance 2024

   Students and staff have marked Remembrance 2024 by supporting the Poppy Appeal and taking part in acts of remembrance.

8. Public arts visionary leads lecture at Liverpool School of Art and Design

   LJMU welcomed Helen Marriage, the Co-founder and Director of Artichoke arts production company, to its first Luminary Lecture of 2022.

9. Prestigious Bollywood Director hosts Liverpool film screening with LJMU

   Bollywood Director, Ms Kiran Rao hosted a special screening of recent hit move Laapataa Ladies (2024) in Liverpool with LJMU.

10. Travel survey findings

    Findings from the LJMU Travel Survey have been collated and will now inform the LJMU Active and Sustainable Travel Plan.
