   After the worlds most costly cargo ship accident, maritime expert Dr Abdul Khalique mans LJMU's £2.5 million simulator to explain what went wrong on board the Ever Given.

   Merseyside Police and LJMU have welcomed their first cohort of degree apprenticeship trainees.

   LJMU is currently in the process of mapping around six major capital developments across the city centre, the majority to be completed by 2020.

8. LJMU Academic awarded National Teaching Fellowship

   Ester Ragonese, Associate Dean Education (APS) and Senior Lecturer in Criminal Justice has been awarded a National Teaching Fellowship from Advance HE.

9. Mersey Maritime welcomes LJMU as 'valued' member

   Mersey Maritime is widely recognised as the UK’s leading maritime cluster organisation bringing together industry, government, national trade bodies and academia to champion, grow and protect the UK maritime industry particularly in the North-West.

10. International Scholarships awarded to 16 students

    16 students were presented with their international scholarships this week at a reception in the Student Life Building.
