1. Join the Pride March on Saturday 27 July

   LCR Pride takes place on Saturday 27 July and we will be taking part in the Pride March on Saturday afternoon.

2. Project Harpocrates scholarship for police staff seeking a career in covert investigations and intelligence

   The police staff, drawn from Nottinghamshire Police, West Midlands Police and British Transport Police, secured the scholarship opportunity under an initiative known as Project Harpocrates. The project seeks to support law enforcement efforts to recruit and retain staff in the highly specialist area of covert operations and specialist intelligence.  Whilst the project was open to all officers one of the specific aims of the project is to increase the representation of  Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff (BAME)  in this challenging and exciting area of investigation and intelligence management.

3. Vice Chancellor's Awards for Research, Scholarship and Knowledge Transfer 2019

   A summary of the winners of the VC Awards for Research, Scholarship and Knowledge Transfer 2019 conferred at the University Research and Innovation Day in June.

4. Improving access for BAME students

   LJMU has been part of a successful consortium bid for funds to improve opportunities for Black, Asian and minority ethnic students to undertake postgraduate research.

   Sophia Charuhas's graduate art show selected for the Science Gallery, Melbourne.

6. Volunteer for Claire House

   Our corporate charity Claire House is looking for volunteers on Saturday 29 February and Sunday 1 March at the welcoming of HMS Prince of Wales on the Liverpool Waterfront.

7. Civil Engineering student nominated for Undergraduate Award

   Ria Mistry, a second year Civil Engineering student at LJMU, beat off tough competition to make the shortlist out of almost 4,000 undergraduate students.
