   Changes to the See My Tutor system include a new landing page, enhancements to appointment booking, and the ability for tutors to capture and share notes from the meeting

2. CBD use in rugby high as players seek to soothe pain

   A new study from Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) highlights the high prevalence of cannabidiol (CBD) use among professional rugby players despite warnings it could lead to drugs bans.

3. Christmas closure and support services over the festive break

   The university will close at 5pm on Thursday 23 December and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 4 January. The Student Life Building will be open 24/7 throughout the festive break including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

6. LJMU to lead British Council funded partnership to strengthen ties with Malaysia

   Liverpool John Moores University has been chosen as the Consortium Secretariat of a new Going Global Partnership, funded by the British Council, with Malaysia. The new collaboration aims to promote strategic engagement and bilateral cooperation in higher education between partner institutions in both countries.

9. The First British Astronaut - Helen Sharman CMG OBE Is Coming To LJMU!

   On 17th March 2021 Helen Sharman, the first British person in Space and first British Astronaut will give a talk at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). Helen will be speaking about her life and career as a scientist and as the first British astronaut.
