2. Art and Science Exchange

   On Tuesday 27th & Wednesday 28th August 2019, the MA Art in Science programme at Liverpool School of Art and Design hosted an Art & Science Exchange workshop with members of the Biochemical Society. The exchange was held at the John Lennon Art and Design Building, in the Public Exhibition Space and X-Gallery amongst the MA Art in Science student's end of programme postgraduate exhibition, which showcases the outcomes of their three month research projects. These projects served as a basis for investigation of specific art-science interactions, and were supported by open discussions, hands on activities and a Liverpool LASER talk.

3. Honour Based Abuse, Female Genital Mutilation and Forced Marriage conference held in partnership with Savera UK 

   LJMU equality and diversity team worked in partnership with SaveraUK to host an inspiring HBA, FGM and FM event in November 2019.

4. Improvement works at John Foster Building

   Next month (June 2022), we will begin a programme of improvement works to John Foster Building, which means it will be closed for a period over the summer.

5. Another ‘first’ for LJMU in Sport and Exercise Sciences

   Professor Zoe Knowles is set to become the first woman to chair the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).

6. Kasper Schmeichel talk marks 20 years of Science and Football at LJMU

   Leicester City and Danish international goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel visits students from the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences.

7. Graduate and Placement Recruitment Fair – 10 March, 12-3pm, Student Life Building

   Students from any programme or level of study are invited to attend this fair to meet and network with 50+ employers offering internships, placements and graduate roles.

8. Major study of Cold War waste finds uranium 'largely inert'

   The threat to the environment posed by uranium left over from the Cold War may be less severe than feared, according to a field study led by Liverpool John Moores University.

9. MA Art in Science students exhibit works at Glastonbury's first art-science exhibition

   Ten Liverpool School of Art and Design students and graduates showcased their work in the Green Futures Field at Glastonbury festival.

10. LJMU postgraduate Sport Psychology programme first of only three in country to gain BASES accreditation

    The School of Sport & Exercise Sciences at LJMU is one of only three universities to have its MSc Sport Psychology course accredited by professional body, the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).
