   Results from the 2021 Postgraduate Research Experience (PRES) survey tell a positive story about the postgraduate research experience at LJMU.

4. International student engagement and assessment policy updates

   Changes have been made to some LJMU staff policies.

5. Empowering staff to support PGRs from racially minoritised groups

   Academic and professional services staff who support PGRs have a bespoke training and development opportunity designed by the educational charity Grit Breakthrough. Using a coaching approach to support PGRs is a two-day online coaching workshop, which will run across two days in November.

6. Thesis Boot Camp

   PGRs attended 2 day residential writing event, at Gladstone's Library in Wales.

7. Improving access for BAME students

   LJMU has been part of a successful consortium bid for funds to improve opportunities for Black, Asian and minority ethnic students to undertake postgraduate research.

8. IT upgrades coming your way

   During the summer, IT services will be delivering an upgrade to Microsoft Office and Google Chrome will become the default browser.

9. Improving PGT student identity and their experience through understanding their expectations on entry – the findings from an 11 University HEFCE funded project

   The seminar will provide an opportunity for exploration through some of the findings from the HEFCE funded project.

10. Student Information System Upgrade

    The University’s Student Information System (SIS) is being upgraded. SIS will be unavailable during the upgrade, from 5pm on Thursday 21st November until 8am on Tuesday 26th November.
