Academic support
At LJMU, every student has a Personal Tutor or Supervisor to guide and support you throughout your studies. They will often be your first point of contact for any questions or concerns. For more specialised assistance, our Student Advice and Wellbeing team is always ready to help.
You can also enhance our learning with our exceptional study skills workshops. The workshops cover diverse topics such as statistics and IT skills.

Libraries
Both of our libraries are in the heart of the city and are open late for all students to use. In addition, our Student Life Building is open 24 hours a day. They offer access to a wealth of information and boast:
- 2,000+ study spaces and dedicated postgraduate areas
- PCs and loan laptops with access to 2,000+ applications
- Academic liaison librarians for each school or faculty
- Over 1.25 million items including 303,000 printed resources
