Disability
What is a disability? According to UK legislation, a disability is any condition of the body or mind that restricts a person’s everyday interactions with the world around them. Some disabilities can be seen, but many are invisible, which means they can go unnoticed like hearing loss, chronic back pain, or even depression. LGBTQ+
In this short course, we’re going to be looking at LGBTQ+ Inclusion. We’ll begin by examining some of the terminology. Then together, we’ll explore how to support and include LGBTQ+ colleagues. That is important, because by making the workplace more welcoming and inclusive for all we help everyone feel comfortable, and able reach their potential. In this learning resource on LGBTQ+ Inclusion, it will cover:

Working across cultures
Most workforces in the UK today are culturally diverse, employing staff with varied ethnicities and identities, and of varied heritage many of whom may be operating globally. That’s why recognising some of the issues that can arise in the workplace and how we can constructively work around them is important for all of us. In this learning resource on working across cultures, it will cover:

Gender equality at work
This module is about the unequal workplace which many women experience, the reasons why gender inequality persists, and how sexism can be challenged to benefit both individuals and organisations by creating a more inclusive work culture. That’s not to say men don’t experience discrimination and when they do, it is equally unacceptable. In this learning resource on gender equality at work, it will cover:
- Why it’s important to think about gender equality at work
- Everyday sexist behaviour and who experiences it
- How organisational structures, systems and processes can hold women back
- What sexual harassment looks like and why it’s hard to challenge

Neurodiversity
It’s important not to generalise when we talk about neurodiversity because each person has their own unique set of skills and needs relating to the way their brain works. Different people think differently, and that is what neurodiversity is all about. In this learning resource on the basics of neurodiversity for managers and staff, it will:

Age
Age is a universal characteristic we all have. It impacts how we are perceived, and how we look at others and can to varying extents govern our attitudes and behaviours. Menopause
Did you know there are around 4.4 million working women aged 50-64 in the UK? All these women, and some trans and non-binary people are directly affected by menopause and yet, it’s still a taboo subject. In this learning resource about menopause at work, it will:

- Encourage and enable positive conversations about menopause at work
