UN Sustainable Development Goals: resources for staff
LJMU has submitted to the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025 for the second year in a row, outlining the university’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Hub of Sustainable Development Goals resources
As part of the submission, a hub of resources is now available to staff. The Sustainable Development Goals brochure has been produced by the university to outline the work and research being undertaken across LJMU and our campus over the 2022/23 academic year and beyond.
A Sustainable Development Goals animation has also been created to highlight some of our key achievements, across the 17 goals, that LJMU has already committed to.
These assets can be viewed and downloaded via the LJMU Sustainable Development Goals webpages and be shared internally and externally, at events, conferences and presentations, to highlight LJMU’s work.
Physical copies of the brochure will also be available on campus at this year’s Liverpool Research Institute for Climate and Sustainability (LiRICS) launch on Friday 13 December 2024 and at the Research and Knowledge Exchange Conference on Monday 16 December 2024.
Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025
As the global challenges of our time continue to evolve, the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals provide a shared blueprint for peace, prosperity and inclusivity for people and the planet, now and into the future.
The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings identify and celebrate universities that excel across multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
In June 2024, LJMU submitted and ranked for the first time in the THE Impact Rankings in the top 400 internationally and top six in the North West of England.
LJMU now awaits June 2025 to see how the university fares in the next Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025.
