Liverpool Business School trains 1,000 SME employees

More than 40 small businesses are reaping the benefits of expertise from Liverpool Business School.

Experts in leadership, management and enterprise have run two training schemes aimed at small businesses and entrepreneurs based in the Liverpool City Region.

More than 1,000 people  - employees and entrepreneurs – have been upskilled thanks to LBS and funding from the European Social Fund.

The LBS experts listened to the needs of local business owners before creating tailored training packages for employees.

The two schemes – The Leadership Growth Skills project and the Enterprise Hub Skills project, managed through The Women’s Organisation, were specifically aimed at promoting competitiveness and growth in LCR. Both projects offered accredited and non-accredited courses.

Training included communication skills, social media strategies, business planning, leadership, self-development, neurodiversity in the workplace, self-confidence and ChatGPT.

As an approved centre for ILM qualifications, Liverpool Business School has successfully awarded over 350 level 2 and 3 qualifications, which have been well-received by the participants.

Speaking as Liverpool Business School hosted a celebratory event to mark the success, Dr Track Dinning, Subject Leader in Business, said: “Feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, which is a testament to the value and effectiveness of the programme delivered by the Liverpool Business School.

“The projects are central to our mission to partner the Liverpool City Region in cultivating enterprise, growth and job-creation.”
