Help us reach Menopause Friendly Accreditation

Last October we shared that LJMU had made a commitment to become a Menopause Friendly University. We are shortly submitting an application for accreditation, which is an industry recognised mark of excellence for menopause awareness, guidance and support at work.

As part of the submission, we must demonstrate how what we have done so far has helped individuals. If you would like to share examples of your experience, please email the Menopause Matters inbox with your contribution. Please get in touch by Friday 4 April.

We would also be interested to hear from you if you have any suggestions on how we can improve the menopause support we already offer.

Further updates on our menopause support activities

New format for our Menopause Cafés

Menopause Cafés will continue this year with a new format. Each one will now last for just one hour, but we will host them more frequently and at more convenient times, based on feedback we have received. We hope this will mean more staff will be available to attend future dates.

The next café takes place from 12noon to 1pm on Wednesday 23 April at Byrom Street.

Menopause advice sessions

In addition, we will soon be launching our online menopause advice sessions, starting with ‘Menopause and Sleeping Well’, from 12noon to 1pm on Thursday 27 March.

Join us online for a session filled with sleep advice and a chance to discuss your experiences.

Menopause yoga

Weekly Menopause yoga continues 12.15pm to 1pm on Tuesdays.
