LJMU is proud to offer local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) access to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) to support their innovation or low carbon journeys.

Current projects

Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory (LCEI)

The LCEI project aims to increase the eco-innovation performance of Liverpool City Region’s (LCR) SMEs and will assist the LCR and the Combined Authority in achieving their Net Zero ambitions.

In order to meet this objective, the LCEI project will offer carbon audits to companies, allowing them to enhance their level of collaboration with HEIs and therefore to focus clearly on their energy use/reduction. A drive toward Net Zero also requires companies to improve efficiency, reduce waste and develop lower carbon products, processes and services; therefore a limited number of projects will employ students and graduates working on in-depth solutions to reduce energy consumption. Companies will also be able to apply for grants, to help them further achieve their low carbon ambitions.

For more information and contact details visit the LCEI webpages.
