1. Confidential Waste Policy update

   The updated policy includes further information on disposing of small amounts of confidential waste in confidential waste bins across the university and on how you can order secure bags for larger quantities.

2. Olympic Alumna addresses Sports Scholars

   World, Commonwealth, European and Olympic medallist, Anyika Onuora recently returned to Liverpool John Moores University to talk to sports scholars, sport interns and staff from student sport societies about her experiences as an LJMU Sports Scholar.

3. LJMU Climate Research Institute

   Staff are invited to attend a second workshop focussed on the proposed LJMU Climate Research Institute. It follows the successful design sprint session held in December, in which colleagues with research interests in the area met to begin scoping out the planned institute.

4. New Export Controls and Sanctions Policy

   A new Export Controls and Sanctions Policy, in relation to research and knowledge exchange activity, has been approved and added to the LJMU Policy Centre.

5. Data protection related policy updates

   Four data protection related policies have been updated and can now be found on the LJMU Policy Centre.

6. Admissions Policy update

   The LJMU Admissions Policy has recently undergone some minor amendments and the updated version can be found in the Policy Centre.

7. Graduation review: Thursday 23 November 2017

   Read the Graduation review for Thursday 23 November 2017, the first day of our November Graduation ceremonies.

8. Health and safety code of practice updates

   Two of our health and safety codes of practice and have updated and can be accessed on the Policy Centre.

9. LJMU policy updates December

   New policy on sustainable food systems and changes to the environmental, energy and sustainability management statement.

10. Staff Qualifications and Health and Safety policy updates

    A number of LJMU staff policies have been updated.
