   In celebration of National Care Leavers Week LJMU welcomed 40 looked after pupils from 10 schools across the North West Region.

   Young people in care across the country have shown their creative talent as part of an LJMU contest.

6. Praise for LJMU’s support of care leavers from Minister for Higher and Further Education

   LJMU deserves the highest praise for their success according to the Minister for Higher and Further Education, after it was the first of only four institutions to be awarded the National Network for the Education of Care Leavers (NNECL) Quality Mark.

8. Let’s Talk About Race Equality (Debating White Privilege, Micro-Aggressions, Allyship & Active Bystanders)

   The 2020 Black Lives Matter movement, reignited conversations on the subject of race equality, across the globe - The need for positive culture change was at the forefront of those discussions. This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to address race equality at LJMU and understand the importance of ally-ship.

9. The Doctoral Academy Conference 2019 Celebrates PGR Activity and Research

   The conference theme of “Community” highlighted PhD, Prof Doc and MPhil Students’ research and activities, both in terms of academic study and voluntary work.
