1. Media students' climb to the top

   Three Liverpool Screen School students have won £2,000 in a competition run by leading motoring magazine, Influx Magazine.

2. Project Harpocrates scholarship for police staff seeking a career in covert investigations and intelligence

   The police staff, drawn from Nottinghamshire Police, West Midlands Police and British Transport Police, secured the scholarship opportunity under an initiative known as Project Harpocrates. The project seeks to support law enforcement efforts to recruit and retain staff in the highly specialist area of covert operations and specialist intelligence.  Whilst the project was open to all officers one of the specific aims of the project is to increase the representation of  Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic staff (BAME)  in this challenging and exciting area of investigation and intelligence management.

3. Changes to Harvard LJMU Referencing

   From the start of the 2024/25 academic year the institutional style for Harvard referencing is changing from Harvard LJMU to Harvard Cite Them Right.

5. Drama students tell untold stories of the women behind Operation Raspberry

   Thirteen second-year Drama students from Liverpool Screen School have, in collaboration with History academics and students from the School of Humanities and Social Science, produced an original show to be performed during anniversary events across the city in May.

6. New Workplace Wellbeing Charter accreditation

   LJMU's commitment to ensuring the health and wellbeing of staff has been recognised with a Workplace Wellbeing Charter accreditation.

7. LJMU leading the way in the use of VR in business education

   Academics from Liverpool Business School have used the immersive learning techniques on modules within the MSc Management and Digital Business programme.

8. Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey

   LJMU has opened the national Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) for level 7 students.

9. International tourism management students gain industry insight at airport visit

   Second year international tourism management students were given a tour of Liverpool John Lennon Airport earlier this month to gain insight into the operational and strategic challenges of managing one of the fastest growing airports in Europe.

10. Outreach programme takes pupils to London

    Local school children have visited University College London (UCL) as part of an LJMU widening access programme. Access All Areas is an initiative from LJMU’s Outreach team which arranged the first university exchange for year 11 pupils.
