   You may be affected by Liverpool City Council’s upcoming demolition of the Churchill Way flyovers.

2. Open Research Week 2022

   Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Liverpool and Edge Hill University libraries are delighted to announce our programme for Open Research Week 2022, taking place from 14th-17th February 2022. There are 8 events over 4 days. All will take place over Microsoft Teams and each session can be booked individually. All events will be recorded; if you are unable to attend but are interested in the content, please sign up and the recording will be sent out to you in due course.

3. Fashion students' 'sustainable Eurovision collection' in John Lewis

   Fashion students have collaborated with BEPO to create a sustainable Eurovision collection for Liverpool ONE’s John Lewis

4. Redmonds Building closure

   As part of our summer works programme, Redmonds Building is closed for the next few weeks for improvements.

5. LJMU filmmaker to screen international award-winning film

   An international award winning film made Dr Michael Brown (Liverpool Screen School) is being screened live online, with a panel discussion about the filmmaking process and the issues raised in the film.

6. New financial wellbeing support for staff

   The university is introducing several new financial wellbeing measures to support staff during this challenging financial period.

7. LJMU launches Sustainable Development Goals hub

   LJMU is outlining its commitment to the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a microsite which highlights the research and knowledge exchange, student experience and place and partnership activities, that showcase the university’s ongoing journey towards a more sustainable, prosperous future for local communities and the whole planet.

8. Staff car parking update August 2023

   The university will continue to subsidise staff car parking until 31 August 2024.

9. Roscoe Lecture Review: Baroness Helena Kennedy QC

   One of the UK’s most distinguished lawyers and human rights champions Helena Kennedy QC, delivered the 124th Roscoe Lecture at St George’s Hall, as she took the audience through the search for justice in an unjust world.
