   LJMU has backed a national pledge to support technicians working at the University

2. Front of class technology support sessions for staff - September 2022

   IT Services Technology Support staff will be on hand this September to offer informal guidance on the operation and use of in-class technologies such as projectors, visualisers, and front of class computers.

3. LJMU joins action group spearheading positive change for technical career pathways

   Two LJMU staff members will sit on the Career Pathways Action Group.

4. Fault reporting processes for the new academic year

   As the new academic year begins and our campus becomes busy once more, staff are reminded to ensure that all faults are reported via the respective Helpdesks.

5. New arrangements for AV support

   We have a new system in place to support you in using audio visual and display technology in our teaching spaces.

6. Technicians survey: your skills, your roles, your responsibilities

   We are working with the National Technician Development Centre (NTDC) to better understand our technical workforce.

7. Technicians survey 2024 to remain open for a further fortnight

   The National Technician Development Centre (NTDC) Technicians Survey at LJMU is open for responses for a further two weeks until Friday 5 April.

8. New mental wellbeing peer support

   We have a new team in place to help support any member of staff with their mental wellbeing. The LJMU Connectors are on hand to provide peer support and make sure colleagues have access to the appropriate resources and services.

9. Technician Development - HEaTED relocates to a New Home in 2020

   New partnership between the NTDC and HEaTED. LJMU subscribes to HEaTED and promotes related opportunities and support for our technical staff.

10. Liverpool partnership delivers improved access and support for student mental health services

    Students in Liverpool are benefitting from improved mental health support, thanks to a partnership between universities and NHS services across the city.
