2. Congratulations - we walked around the world 12 times in only 100 days!

   This is the fourth consecutive year that LJMU has enjoyed 100 days of stepping and wellbeing - with 78 teams taking part between 23 May and 30 August 2018.

3. How drone research is driving global technology

   Drone research at LJMU is branching out into new areas including working with Google Maps and Google Earth engines and introducing a ‘Civic Drones programme’ for the business community.

5. Training for managers: disabilities and long-term health conditions, including mental health

   LJMU’s Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Team, are proud to be working in partnership with coaching and training specialists; Result CIC (Community Interest Company) and are pleased to offer LJMU Managers, Programme Leaders and Personal Tutors (those directly responsible for staff/students) the opportunity to participate in a half day Training for Managers of Staff with Disabilities & Long-Term Health Conditions Including Mental Health, workshop.

8. March is Library Fest

   Library Services are gearing up for an exciting lineup of events this March as part of Library Fest 2024. There’ll be a range of exciting activities taking place from book swaps to poetry readings, exhibitions, and giveaways for all students, staff and visitors to get involved in.

9. LJMU supports law students as host of national speed mooting competition

   School of Law students from LJMU, alongside those attending from other universities, took part in the mooting events, presenting their verbal arguments and putting their knowledge to the test that they’ve learnt during their studies.

10. Meet Renske Smit, latest researcher to join the Astrophysics Research Institute

    Dr Renske Smit will be joining the Astrophysics Research Institute as an STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellow. We caught up with her to find out more about achievements in astronomy and her plans for her time at LJMU.
