1. Updating Your Microsoft Profile Picture

   From this month LJMU will begin publishing all student and staff security card photos into Microsofts 365 suite of products.

2. LJMU sport and gym memberships 2025

   LJMU sport and gym memberships have decreased for the remainder of 2025 with discounted prices from £20 for students and £35 for staff and alumni.

3. Lecturer featured in NHS exhibition

   A lecturer from LJMU is featured in a fantastic exhibition celebrating NHS workers in Merseyside.

5. Churchill Way Flyovers

   Liverpool City Council will shortly begin the process of demolishing the Churchill Way flyovers.

6. Tithebarn Street roadworks (from 3 June 2019)

   Please be aware that major roadworks will begin on Tithebarn Street on Monday 3 June.

7. Climate institute planning under way

   Colleagues from the across the university have this week come together to begin scoping out the proposed new LJMU climate institute.

8. LJMU Climate Research Institute

   Staff are invited to attend a second workshop focussed on the proposed LJMU Climate Research Institute. It follows the successful design sprint session held in December, in which colleagues with research interests in the area met to begin scoping out the planned institute.

9. Improvement works at John Foster Building

   Next month (June 2022), we will begin a programme of improvement works to John Foster Building, which means it will be closed for a period over the summer.

10. Dr. Emma Roberts, Reader in History of Art & Design, publishes article in Harvard University journal.

    Dr. Emma Roberts, Reader in History of Art & Design at Liverpool School of Art & Design, has published an article in the Harvard University journal, 'ReVista: The Harvard Review of Latin America'. The article discusses the important topic of public sculptures in the Caribbean on the theme of emancipation from slavery.
